Tia Gao (Director)
Tia leads product development and marketing. Previously, she was an engineering manager at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics lab, and developed products at Microsoft and Medtronic. She holds a MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
Leo Selavo (Hardware Engineering Director)
Leo created the first generation miTag in the Spring of 2005 while doing his post-doc at the University of Virginia. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh. A native of Latvia, he was awarded 3rd place in VLSI design at DAC.
Peter Muller (Product Designer)
Peter is the owner of Interform, an internationally acclaimed product design firm. A native of Germany, Peter was the co-founder and former VP of Frog Design.
Andrew Watt Andrew Watt (Medical Director)
Andrew was a former software engineer at Meditech and Emergency Medicine physician at Johns Hopkins. Currently, he is a physician and IT director of a hospital ED in New Hampshire.
Tim Gee (Marketing Advisor)
Tim was the former business developer for Philips, Welch Allyn, and Corometrix (acquired by GE Healthcare). He runs the blog Medical Connectivity.
Amey Chincorkar (Server Developer)
Amey is in charge of any code that touches the server. A native of India, he was a former lead software engineer at Infosys. He holds an MS in biomedical engineering from Duke and runs the blog Lazy Habits
Walt Destler (Embedded Applications Engineer)
Walt Destler developed all end-user applications on the miTag. He holds a BS in computer science and a BA in theater from the University of Maryland. You may view his website here.
Michael VanDaniker Michael VanDaniker (User Interface Engineer)
Michael developed the miView. He holds a BS and MS in computer science from the University of Maryland, with a concentration in human-computer interaction.
